Bars You Should Visit Post-Lockdown

As lockdown eases and bars, pubs and restaurants begin to open again across the country, I think it’s safe to say we are ready to return in full force with a newfound appreciation for our locals.

The impact of the coronavirus has been especially hard on all of the hospitality sector, having to close their doors to their customers with no clue when they might be able to open again. We cannot wait to get back out there to support all venues and watch the country get back to what it does best, socialising and drinking…responsibly, of course.

Here are just a few of the many places that we recommend visiting on your next night out!

1) Signature Pub Group, Scotland
With around 24 different venues throughout Central Scotland, The Signature group always impresses, with each venue being entirely different. So, if you are looking for a cool, easy cocktail visit The Boozy Cow or for a drink with a view, why not try The Cold Town House.

2) Tigerlily, Edinburgh (Montpelier’s Ltd)
The Hotel, Cocktail Bar and Restaurant located on Edinburgh’s George Street is the perfect date-night location.  We recently collaborated with Tigerlily on an own-label gin project. Check out the signature cocktail ‘Wild Garden Swizzle’ and let us know what you think!

3) Fight Club, Various
A truly unique night-out experience designed to bring everyone together.  The ‘Social Darts’ concept brings the game into the 21st Century with a wide range of games for everyone to enjoy.  Whether you’re an expert or an amateur everyone has a ‘throwers’ chance to win.

4) Cask Smuggler’s, Edinburgh (Malones Group)
If you are chasing the perfect Al Fresco drinking experience, then look no further than Cask Smuggler’s Festival Village.  A mini urban escape located on the top on Waverley Market.  With beautiful vistas of Edinburgh’s Historic skyline, this is up there with the best outdoor spaces the City.  From cocktails and pizzas, to pints and parmesan fries Cask Smuggler’s ticks all the boxes.

5) Brasserie Prince, Edinburgh (Rocco Forte Hotels)
One thing I know I’ve missed is the luxury of having a drink made for me and the flair from behind the bar that comes with it. One of my favourite cocktails is a Negroni especially when it’s made with our Apothecary Rose gin.
Ask Giovanni at Brasserie Prince to make one for you. Trust me, its game changing.

We’re proud to continue our commitment to support them through this process, hopefully, coming back stronger than before. We love our trade partners and we wish we could include them all in this list, if you would like more suggestions, please drop us an email at info@theoldcuriosity.co.uk
